This time it is Chic's Forbidden lover, (special thanks to Frans vd Kamp) a track from the album Dance Dance Dance, that supplies the groove for this disco track. About the minimix The minimx completely reunites Chic's Forbidden lover with Alcazar's production of Sexual Guarantee. the track is running more than 12% faster to meet the new musical key, and is timestretched even further to meet the new tempo. This insane high speed however doesn't take long to get used to, and makes it possible to further combine the 2 tracks into a single mix featuring both songs. Filter effects, edits and sound processing further completes this minimix. Enjoy!! Discoh 82 side 2 The Disco 82 mix was mixed from tapes rather than vinyl. Why mix from tape?? Well, if you make a mix from vinyl (with vinyl distortion and already degraded dynamics) and press it AGAIN on vinyl, the resulting quality is just terrible. So, taking the tapes and putting them on the 4 track TEAC (in the picture center above) I could use track 1 and 4 for one song already recorded on tape, and add the other song on tracks 2 and 3. Using a selfmade pitchcontrol with + and - buttons I was able to sync up the tracks.
