 History

Although more Grandmix editions have been made like the 80's and 90's editions, this marks the 29th annual Grandmix and is broadcasted on Radio 538.

Info

This Grandmix features a very strong track selection in the old format of starting of slow and gradually building up from 95 BPM to a whopping 160 after which it cycles back to half tempo at 80 BPM. Another innovation in megamixes.

Video Edition

Peter Kool has created a fantastic video edition of the Grandmix 2018. It will be broadcasted on first Saturday the 5th of January from 21:00 - 24:00 on 538TV. A Video Presentation is also in the works!

Why are some 'hits' missing in the Grandmix

Unfortunately some foreign record companies consider the Grandmix as just another compilation license request. They are not al familiar with the impact of the Grandmixes on Dutch DJ history. Most Dutch dance related companies are no problem, as most of the people working there got into the dance music business because of the early Grandmixes. Armada, Spinnin' and News are absolutly fabulous in their cooperation for which I, in return, am very greatful.
